MUSMA DPM FMIPA 2025

The Student Assembly Meeting (Musyawarah Mahasiswa / MUSMA) of DPM FMIPA is one of the official work programs organized by Commission I “Legislator” of the Student Representative Council (Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa) FMIPA. This program aims to restructure and standardize the administrative regulations of student organizations within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) to ensure their relevance and continuity for future leadership periods. The activity involves the participation of prospective chairpersons from each FMIPA student organization to collaboratively formulate, review, and formally approve regulations required for one full organizational term. MUSMA was conducted over two days, with one of the main agendas being the general election for the Chairperson of DPM FMIPA for the year 2026.

The development of this website was essential to support the election process for the Chairperson of DPM FMIPA for the 2026/2027 period. In addition to simplifying and modernizing the voting process during the MUSMA event, the website was designed to minimize the risk of fraud and prevent illegal actions throughout the election process. The election was held from November 1 to November 2, 2025, and was participated in by prospective DPM FMIPA functionaries for the 2026/2027 period. During the website development process, continuous discussions were conducted with the core board (INTI) of DPM FMIPA and the organizing committee to monitor progress and ensure that the system requirements aligned with the needs of the event.

The outcomes of these discussions were used as evaluation materials and served as the foundation for further system improvements, ensuring that the final product was fully optimized, reliable, and aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Key system features developed for this project include:
  • 1. Secure login using student identification numbers (NIM) registered in the IMISSU system
  • 2. Digital ballot box for voting on prospective functionaries
  • 3. Terms and Conditions page for the election process
  • 4. Voting page
  • 5. Admin dashboard for managing and controlling candidate data
  • 6. Voting results page displaying real-time or final election outcomes

The conceptual phase of the website development took approximately one week and focused on designing the user interface and defining the essential system requirements as the foundational structure of the MUSMA DPM FMIPA website. The UI design followed the official visual guidelines of the MUSMA DPM FMIPA 2025 committee, utilizing consistent assets to ensure visual coherence and to streamline the design process. In addition, several visual assets were adopted from DPM FMIPA as the parent organization of the MUSMA activity, allowing the design process to be carried out efficiently. The overall design scope included the Home page, Voting page, Voting Results page, Terms and Conditions page, and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page to guide prospective functionaries through the election process. All design concepts were reviewed and discussed with the core board (INTI) of DPM FMIPA and the MUSMA organizing committee to evaluate and refine system requirements.

Beyond visual aspects, the development concept of the MUSMA DPM FMIPA website placed strong emphasis on User Experience (UX) to ensure that the election process was clear, secure, and easy to understand for all participants. The voting flow was designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible, starting from the login process using a student identification number (NIM) integrated with the IMISSU database, followed by the voting and confirmation stages. Each page was structured with a clear information hierarchy, consistent UI components, and a strong focus on transparency by presenting candidate information, terms and conditions, and voting results that could be accessed in real time according to the needs of both the committee and participants.

The execution phase began with system development using a modular and scalable code structure to support future improvements. Implementation was carried out based on the approved UI designs, with a primary focus on core functionalities such as user authentication, the voting mechanism, and candidate data management. Each feature was tested incrementally to ensure the system operated reliably, securely, and in accordance with the predefined election workflow.

The final outcome of this development process was a fully functional MUSMA DPM FMIPA website that could be used optimally throughout the event. The interface was designed to be responsive across multiple devices, while the backend system ensured data validation and election security. This website not only served as a digital voting platform but also functioned as a digital documentation medium for the MUSMA event, supporting transparency and professionalism in the election of the DPM FMIPA Chairperson for the 2026/2027 period.
